Clément VSOP Rhum Vieux Agricole delivers an exceptionally elegant, complex, and terroir-driven flavor profile. Distilled from fresh-pressed sugarcane juice rather than molasses in accordance with strict AOC Martinique regulations, this artisanal rhum reflects a distinctively vegetal and vibrant character. It is aged for a minimum of four years in a combination of virgin French oak and re-charred ex-bourbon casks. This wood management beautifully tames the wild grassiness of the distillate, layering it with sophisticated notes of warm baking spices, cocoa, and toasted wood.
Tasting Notes
- Aroma: Rich and seductive; opens with a pleasant blend of warm cocoa beans, wild honey, and toasted vanilla, subtly framed by a fresh, characteristic "green" grassiness and light orange zest.
