Unlike industrial rum made from the fermentation of molasses, a by-product of the production of cane sugar, Rhum Barbancourt is an agricultural rum, rum made from fermented sugar cane juice. Rhum Barbancourt is aged in aged in Limousin oak barrels in the Domaine's chais, and it is in these oak barrels that Rhum Barbancourt expresses its unique flavor and couquet; a subtle blending of Haiti's sun and soil.
Region Description
\"Spiced Rum\" or \"Dark Rum\" These rums get their flavor from added spices. They are darker in color than other rums and generally aged longer and have a thick body and richer taste than light rums.
